REUNIUNE DE PROIECT 10-16 IUNIE 2009

Visit of pupils at Montessori-School Peissenberg, Germany, November 17-23, 2008

From November 17 to November 23 eight students from Fălticeni stayed at families of students from Peissenberg (Marciana, Georgiana, Claudia, Madalina, Iustin, Alexandru, Mattei, Cosmin). Many of them went by plane for the first time. After an invitation by the mayor of Peissenberg, Mrs. Manuela Vanni, they explored the Bavaria film studios and, on the next day, the former coal mine in Peissenberg. They were able to get in contact with Bavarian traditions, for example in the Starnberger See Museum. There they found out that there are a lot of equal traditons of building houses and of celebrating the holidays (Christmas, Easter etc.) on occasion of their visit to the museum "Das Gottesjahr" at the splendid castle of Schleissheim. As an effect of strong religious belief they saw the passion theatre of Oberammergau and as an example of typical Bavarian handcraft they visited the exposition of the Oberammergau school of wood carving. They got the chance to get to know something about a private Montessori-School and to compare similarities and differences with their own school. On occasion of the last evening with their host families they showed a range of traditional songs and dances.
